Data Governance Manager

DLG is building a modern Data Platform and a new Data & Engineering organisation under the CIO. To succeed, we are looking for a Data Governance Manager who will help establish the foundations for trusted, high-quality and well-managed data across the Group.

About the role

As the Data Governance Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and developing DLG’s data governance setup. Working closely with Group IT, BI, data stewards and business stakeholders, you will help ensure that governance becomes a natural part of how we work with data across the organisation.

You will contribute to defining the governance framework, supporting data ownership, and helping implement the tools and processes required to improve data quality, transparency and trust. This role is central to the ReGen transformation program and the development of the new Data Platform.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will work collaboratively across business and IT to support the development and adoption of data governance practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the development and implementation of DLG’s data governance model
• Supporting rollout and adoption of governance practices across domains
• Helping implement and use tools for metadata, lineage, cataloguing and data quality
• Partnering with business and IT stakeholders to strengthen data ownership and accountability
• Supporting prioritised data domains in improving data quality and consistency
• Contributing to embedding governance principles in systems and integrations
• Raising awareness of governance practices and supporting organisational adoption

What we are looking for

We are looking for a collaborative and structured profile who can engage stakeholders and help translate governance concepts into practical solutions.

We imagine that you bring experience such as:

• Experience within data governance, data management or related areas
• Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g. Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra or similar)
• Understanding of data quality, metadata and data lifecycle concepts
• Experience working across business and IT environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support stakeholder alignment
• Ability to create structure and support adoption of new processes
