Shape and modernize the IT operating model in a leading European agricultural group
DLG is looking for an experienced and strategically minded IT leader to head our Office of the CIO and drive the Group’s digital transformation. In this key role, you will ensure that technology investments deliver measurable business value across one of Europe’s leading agricultural companies - pioneering sustainability, digitalization, and green energy.
Your role
As Head of OCIO, you will set the strategic direction for DLG’s IT operating model and drive the governance, structures, and processes that enable effective digital execution. You will lead a team of 20+ specialists and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Denmark and Germany.
Your mandate is clear:
strengthen how DLG governs, prioritizes, finances, designs, and executes IT – and accelerate the maturity of our hybrid delivery model combining agile and classic project management.
Key responsibilities
- Define the strategic roadmap for OCIO and lead transformation initiatives that modernize DLG’s IT operating model.
- Strengthen IT governance and clear accountability across services, projects, architecture and financial structures.
- Lead the full IT project portfolio, ensuring prioritization and measurable value creation.
- Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost transparency using TBM principles.
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture for scalability and long‑term alignment.
- Promote modern service management by evolving ITIL practices into a more agile and business-centric model.
- Establish data-driven IT performance management across cost, value, quality, and productivity.
- Lead enterprise initiatives that improve processes, tools, and ways of working across Group IT.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Solid experience from senior IT leadership roles and proven transformation leadership.
- Strong expertise in IT governance, portfolio management, financial management, and enterprise architecture.
- Deep knowledge of ITIL, agile methods, and hybrid delivery models.
- Strong financial acumen, ideally with TBM experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
Initial strategic priorities
- Implement an IT capability model and governance aligned with the TBM taxonomy.
- Launch a comprehensive IT performance management framework.
- Accelerate adoption of new PPM tools and agile practices.
- Establish a FinOps Center of Excellence for cloud cost optimization.
- Introduce rolling forecasting and modernized IT cost allocation models.
