IT Operations Senior Specialist - Automation

DLG is seeking a skilled IT Operations Senior Specialist with a strong focus on automation. You will join our IT Operations Server and Cloud team, working closely with the rest of Group IT. Your expertise in Microsoft environments, Azure stack, and preferably Linux will help modernize our infrastructure and deliver reliable automation solutions. You will play a key role in developing self-healing automation, integrating APIs, and maintaining clear documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver automation solutions with a strong focus on automation, standardization, and scalable infrastructure: create and maintain scripts, runbooks, jobs, and templates for Microsoft, Azure, and Linux platforms. Drive automated deployments, consistent configurations, and effective lifecycle management across both Azure and on-prem environments.
• Identify automation opportunities: analyze workflows, resolve incidents, and enhance monitoring and platform stability to help shape a secure and well-governed platform.
• Implement self-healing automation: use integration APIs and automation tools to reduce manual intervention and ensure reliable operations, improving operational efficiency and enabling stable, modern cloud and infrastructure services.
• Maintain documentation: ensure all automation solutions, workflows, and changes are thoroughly documented for operational clarity.
• Support quality and standards: adhere to global guidelines, maintain CMDB and asset data, and ensure platforms are up to date and compliant.
• Collaborate across teams: work with IT Operations, Service Management, Development, and vendors to support projects and share knowledge.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong automation skills in Microsoft environments, Azure, and preferably Linux, with proven experience in standardization and scalable infrastructure.
• Experience with scripting, runbooks, automation tools, integration APIs, and driving consistent configurations and automated deployments.
• Proven ability to deliver self-healing automation, enhance operational reliability, and enable stable, modern cloud and infrastructure services by reducing manual work.
• Strong documentation practices and understanding of operational standards to support effective lifecycle management and platform governance.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support project delivery in both Azure and on-prem environments.
• Analytical mindset and effective communication skills for knowledge sharing and driving operational efficiency.
